Vermont Thunder was started in 1993 by Bill Fitzpatrick and went from the Vermont Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Sharon to Swanton, VT; a ride of 132 miles which was the number of servicemembers from Vermont who lost their lives in Vietnam. After a couple of years and as the ride grew it was decided to
sell patches and flags with 100% of funds raised going to Veterans and Veterans families in time of need as it remains today. The money provided then and today is in the form of a grant. Vermont Thunder has helped 100's of Veterans and families over the years and we look forward to continue the cause. The ride has grown from 43 bikes on the first ride to over 1000 with riders coming from every state in the northeast.
This ride started as a no cost ride and continues today to remain a no cost ride and will continue to provide from the sale of patches, flags and donations. The destination has been changed from Swanton to Enosburg where the Moving Wall was erected for it's last Vermont visit. The ride ends with ceremonies at the Veterans Park in Enosburg with a light lunch to follow.

Come join us and ride to honor our Veterans and Still Missing POW's and MIA's from all wars, past and present. This ride is approx. 125 miles of some of the finest motorcycling roads in the country. The ride will start at the Vermont Vietnam Veterans Memorial located at the Sharon Welcome Center on I-89 Northbound.

There will be coffee and cold drinks provided before the ride. In addition, Vermont Thunder Patches and Pins as well as flags will be sold before the start of the ride. All funds, 100%, raised from the sales of the patches, pins and flags as well as money donated goes to Veterans and the their Families in need!

The ride will take place rain or shine and is for all brands of bikes.

Spectators are welcome and encouraged to come and send off the riders, bring the lawn chairs and give the riders a big send off!
